Days: Monday to Friday
Hours: 9am to 5pm with half an hour for lunch (37.5 hour week)
General description
Our client is a leading global specialist within their market sector, holding offices in multiple countries worldwide. They are currently recruiting for a full time employee to work within their Leeds depot within the stores/warehouse.
The warehouse is small and requires just a single stores/warehouse person to manage orders, parts and general warehouse operations on a day-to-day basis. You will be required to work with a small but friendly parts office team, reporting directly to the Parts Manager.
To be successful in the role you will need to have a mature and responsible attitude to your role. Due to the warehouse operating around your role on a day-to-day basis it is crucial that your have a proven outstanding time keeping and attendance record.

Primary role
Responsible for all incoming deliveries and outgoing shipments and for the safe keeping of all stock located within the warehouse.
Main Responsibilities
Primary Tasks
* Picking spare parts orders accurately
* Packing orders safely and suitable for transport
* Despatching parts orders accurately with correct paperwork and keeping detailed records
* Receiving deliveries, checking, and inspecting goods and paperwork and reporting any discrepancies to the Assistant Parts Manager
* Operating a counterbalance for lift truck to load and unload goods safely
* Allocating new stock to suitable warehouse locations and keeping accurate records
* Using best practise stock rotation methods where appropriate
* Storing parts safely in the appropriate section of the warehouse
* Liaising with Assistant Parts Manager regarding any warehousing issues
* Ensuring that the warehouse is kept clean and tidy
* Maintaining effective working relationships with co-workers, customers, and couriers
* Taking care of own Health & Safety at work, and that of others, and co-operating with Company arrangements
* Other reasonable duties as requested by the Parts Manager
Secondary Tasks
* Carrying out the perpetual parts stocktaking.
* Gritting car parks in bad weather.
* Changing lightbulbs in
Knowledge and Key Skills
Qualifications
* *Counterbalance forklift truck licence (ideally but will be trained on for right candidate)*
* Health & Safety awareness, particularly with respect to manual handling and COSHH
Key Skills/Attributes
* Basic IT skills
* Attention to detail
* Good team worker
* Ability to work under own initiative
