Job summary
Full Job DescriptionThe Teaching Executives are looking for a Teaching Assistant who has experience working with pupils but not essential. The position is to work in the class room with high levels of 1:1 required and we are looking for someone to start as soon as possible.
The class has pupils with various needs and encourages each pupil to achieve everything they can through an individualized curriculum and the school has the facilities to provide opportunities which would otherwise not be accessible. As a Teaching Assistant you will build relationships with the pupils while assiting them to achieve their daily goals under the guidence of experinced Teachers and TA's.
The Role:
* Working with a team of TAs and a Teacher within a small class.
* Supporting the teacher to help the pupils reach their educational goals.
* Working 1:1 with pupils and in small groups contributing to the positive atmosphere.
* Adapting a creative approach to encourage learning.
* Communicating professionally with other staff members in order to facilitate the safeguarding and well-being of the pupils.
* Using alternative forms of communication such as Makaton
* Experience of working in an educational or care setting is desirable but not not essential.
* Based in high schools in Chester and Cheshire West
