Civils Team PowerToro Recruitment is representing an Independent Connections Provider in the South, actively looking to strengthen its Ops team with an additional Civils Team. Specialising in power engineering solutions and electrical asset management, we prioritise delivering high-quality projects and services. The Civils Team is crucial to our operations, playing a key role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and sustainability.
This position will be based out of an office in Kent, but it involves frequent travel across the southeast and occasionally to other locations across the UK. As part of our team, you'll be involved in innovative and efficient solutions for projects in renewables, electrical infrastructure, and more. Key responsibilities for the Civils Team position:
* Placing the safety of our team members and the public at the forefront of every action and decision.
* Demonstrating unwavering commitment to health and safety, ensuring compliance with internal policies, procedures, and relevant regulations such as NRSWA.
* Maintaining open and effective communication with the Civils Manager and planning team, providing regular updates on the status of ongoing projects.
* Constructing infrastructure meticulously in alignment with approved drawings and construction information.
* Thorough completion of all safety documentation on-site, ensuring a comprehensive record of safety measures.
* Taking charge of site set-up, including signage, guarding, and barriers, meticulously following traffic management plans and applying NRSWA training.
* Diligently completing and recording quality control activities, employing tools like mandrills/foam pigs for clearing ducts before cable pulling.
* Safely trenching using the appropriate method, whether mechanised or by hand, as identified by your risk assessment and training.
* Expertly forming concrete plinths for feeder pillars, adhering to high-quality standards.
* Striving for a zero-defect target in the reinstatement of footways and carriageways, ensuring impeccable results.
The Requirements for the Civils Team is:
* Proficiency in operating heavy machinery and construction equipment, with relevant UK certifications (e.g., CPCS, NPORS).
* Health and safety training.
* Full UK Clean Driving Licence (with the ability to tow).
* Relevant certifications (e.g., CSCS card, CPCS/NPORS certification, SHEA Power).
* CAT & Genny Trained.
* NRSWA Streetworks (Units 1-9) Operative/Supervisor
Salary/package and benefits:
* Monday to Friday and two Saturdays per month (7:30 am 5:00 pm)
* £35,500 - £45,000 (PAYE) subject to experience and qualifications.
