Job summary

Senior Manager - Advocacy & Support

Location: Canterbury hub, with travel to other hubs and external meetings as required

Hours: Full Time (37.5 hrs per week), including participating in out-of-hours rota

Salary: Starting (depending on experience) £40,221

Our client is dedicated to supporting separated young refugees and asylum seekers in their journey of integration into communities across Kent.

An opportunity has arisen within senior management as a full-time Senior Manager - Advocacy & Support, leading a team to deliver effective services for young people.

Role Summary:

As the Senior Manager - Advocacy & Support, you will lead our clients strategic direction and delivery of advocacy and support services. This role involves managing a team that provides case work, mentoring partnerships, wellbeing activities, and youth engagement initiatives. As a member of the senior management team, you will contribute to shaping the organisation's overall direction, attuned to the evolving needs of young people and sector developments.

Qualifications and Experience:

* Previous experience as an operations or senior manager in an advice and support agency.

* Demonstrated capability in strategic thinking and optimal performance delivery.

* Competence in sensitive, supportive engagement with vulnerable young people.

* Proficient in compliance areas: Safeguarding, HR, Health and Safety, GDPR.

* Ability to initiate and build relationships with a diverse range of individuals.

* Comfortable adapting to multiple demands, shifting priorities, and rapid change.

* Alignment with clients values as an empowering, holistic, approachable, and non-judgmental service provider.

* Sound IT skills, including database systems.

* Preferably, experience in charity operations or as a trustee.
