Job summary
Project Engineer - IndustrialThe role requires a candidate who is ambitious and motivated who is keen to contribute to a dynamic, fast-paced project environment. You should possess a strong working knowledge of Project Engineering (industry specific) and be able to successfully manage all aspects of a given project from inception to completion, possess an energetic personality as well as integrating into our company culture.
Responsibilities
Be responsible as main point of contact for the entire project life cycle from concept through to installation support
Be capable of multi-tasking and managing multiple projects at any given time
Build strong relationships with customers
Be responsible for technical aspects and liaise with contractual/commercial colleagues on your project(s) and ensuring compliance with client issued contracts, deliverables and specifications
Produce and manage all company and client project documentation
Scheduling and day to day project management of the project(s) under your control
Ensure compliance with industry and company standards, including project specific technical specifications
Leading design engineering including hands on use of 3D CAD to produce designs and supporting documentation
Production of technical test procedures and resulting reports together with technical documentation in accordance with company and project requirements
Support and work closely with our manufacturing team to ensure efficient and cost-effective production of the product
Provide technical advisory services to clients during the development & build process Evaluate, organise and prioritise workload within a given schedule
Produce detailed design documentation for project
Undertake technical studies and site investigations
Anticipate any potential project risks, identifying and establishing corrective actions
Apply specific technical skills as required to support the customer or colleagues
Attend various meetings and action/communicate instructions
Actively promote a strong SHEQ and continuous improvement culture.
Location Place of work will be Leicester with travel to Dereham

Critically evaluates technical and contractual information
Analyses and understands technical challenges
Identifies long term technical development opportunities
Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills
Sound working knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD package
Working knowledge of mechanical engineering practices materials, FEA, fixings, fabrication etc.
Work to deadlines
Desirable
Experience of working with sheet metal.
Experience of designing equipment of electrical applications.
Experience of product approval processes within the automotive industry
Working knowledge of thermal transfer and an appreciation of CFD calculations
Qualifications
Degree qualified in a role/industry relevant industry
HNC/HND or equivalent relevant Project Management qualifications would be advantageous but not essential
Experience
Previous experience of working in a similar role
Demonstrable experience in project management.
A proven track record in successfully executing multi-disciplined projects from inception through to completion
