Job Title: Teaching Assistant - Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) - Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) SupportLocation: North Manchester
Contract Type: Full Time - 8:30am - 3:30pm
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join in one of our inclusive schools in North Manchester. We are seeking a compassionate individual with previous experience in supporting children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) issues. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing tailored assistance to enhance the learning and well-being of a child with SEND needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one support to a child with SEMH needs, both inside and outside the classroom.
Assist the teacher in implementing individualized education plans and strategies to support the child's academic and social development.
Foster a positive and nurturing environment that promotes the child's emotional well-being.
Collaborate with the SENCO, teachers, and other professionals to create and implement effective support strategies.
Qualifications and Experience:
Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, specifically supporting children with SEMH needs.
Understanding of the challenges faced by children with SEMH issues and a commitment to their well-being and development.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
