Job summary
A client of ours - a privately owned residential developer are currently going through a vast increase in workload/projects and therefore I'm working across a number of vacancies throughout their business.They're currently looking to recruit a Development Engineer to join their growing team working based in Lancashire.
This is an immediate requirement due to substantial growth and securing of additional sites across Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Merseyside & Cheshire.
Schemes currently live include;
5 bespoke houses in Preston (Private client)
30 houses in Cheshire (Housing Association)
25 houses in Warrington (Housing Association)
30 houses in Bury (Housing Association)
15 apartments in Rochdale (Housing Association)
18 houses in Liverpool (Housing Association)
7 houses in Preston (private client)
The role here carries real potential for career progression into Senior Engineering or general management levels in the future, as the company continues to inevitably grow in the coming years.
A keenness to further develop & progress would be expected.
On behalf of our client, we would also accept applications from assistant Engineers as there is capability to further teach & assist a growing but initially less experienced candidate.
Salary and benefits negotiable depending on experience and ambition.
Responsibilities:
Commission surveys and reports for preparation of planning/BC applications.
Coordination of demolition and remediation proposals
Commission Road & Sewer/Civils, Foundation/substructure designs
Management of section agreements (S38, S278, S104, S185 etc)
Coordination of Utilities
Provide support throughout the construction phase
Commission validation testing and reports
Progress adoptions and coordination of section agreement bondsPosition Requirements:
A working understanding of planning policy and building regulations
Experience within the new build housing sector essential
Experience in communicating with Local Authority, Statutory Body representatives and warranty providers (Highway engineers, United Utilities, NHBC/Premier etc) essential.
Relevant HNC/HND/Degree or qualified through experience.
5 years experience with residential developer/house builder preferrable
Full Driving Licence
CSCS Card preferred but not essential as can be provided
