Reporting to the Head Teacher, you will be joining a successful school where you will be an integral part of their growth story.
Your new role
Joining the school on a permanent basis, you will be responsible for managing the IT infrastructure across this secondary school, supporting with both hardware and software, as well as managing IT projects and also being responsible for the procurement of all IT equipment. You will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of IT equipment, installing software and hardware, as well as mobile devices and provide training around any specific functions for staff. In addition, you will lead on the technical setup of MIS systems in school, also providing training around this and liaising with external providers around the procurement of this. From a project perspective, the school is looking to roll out Ipads across the school, therefore this would fall as a project which would include ensuring all firewalls and security are up-to-date, ensuring networks are accessible and that teachers and pupils are confident in the use of these. This is a new role for the organisation and therefore an exciting role which will allow a Senior Technician or IT Manager to grow, with future staff responsibility for an IT Technician who will also be joining.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in securing this position, you must possess recent IT Engineer experience, ideally having recent experience working in the education sector and with the passion to take on an exciting leadership role. In return, you will be paid a competitive salary of between £34,000 and £39,000 dependent on experience, with the option to have this role as a term time plus 4 weeks to make a more attractive work life balance. The school are flexible in what they are able to offer from a package perspective, as this is a key role for them, and it is important they find the right match for the role.
