EHS Manager Worksop - Competitive Salary + BonusChase and Holland are proud to be working with a multi award winning global manufacturer in Worksop who are currently recruiting a EHS Manager to join their leadership team.
As the site EHS Manager, you will ensure plant level EHS programs, policies, procedures and systems are developed, implemented and sustained to ensure compliance with local, national regulatory requirements and conformance with the businesss mandates.

EHS Manager Responsibilities:
Prepare and submits all required environmental permit applications/renewals and routine agency reports
Manage all plant waste disposal activity to ensure compliance with applicable regulations
Develop/maintain plant emergency response plans and ensures drills are performed to document plan effectiveness
Review plant environmental permits and ensures terms and conditions are understood and complied with, ensures required documentation is maintained and required regulatory reports are submitted to the respective agency
Evaluate proposed projects and proposed new chemicals and ensures plans are in place and implemented to address EHS compliance issues
Support and/or directs the plant's ISO 14001 EMS
Develop/maintain all required written safety instructions
Ensure maintenance and development of the Quality Management System in line with the requirements of the ISO 9001 Quality Standard
Ensure all required plant safety inspections are performed and documented, eg. fire extinguishers, fire risers, emergency response equipment, safety showers, eye wash stations, emergency lights, ladders, housekeeping and that corrective actions are completed for identified deficiencies
Ensures required employee health and safety training is completed on time and documented
Evaluate operational performance of the group in order to facilitate performance management, merit promotions, job transfers, dismissals, commendations etc
Hours: 36 hours per week. 8am 4pm (Monday - Thursday) 8am 3pm (Friday)
Required Skills & Experience:
NEBOSH Qualified
Previous experience working within a manufacturing environment
Previous experience with managing EHS certifications & audits ISO 9001 & ISO 14001
Experience with detailed reporting
Ability to direct and lead cross-functional process improvement teams
