Job summary
Our Client is a well respected developer focusing on residential projects in the East and West MidlandsDue to continued growth and success, they are seeking to appoint an Assistant Technical Co-ordinator to assist on various residential schemes
Reporting to the Technical Manager you will be responsible for:
Duties will include
1. Assist in coordinating the production and review of detailed working drawing package from approved planning drawings within agreed fee budgets and design programmes
2. Assist the Technical Coordinators in the appointment of Design Consultants.
3. Provide technical support and information to the construction, commercial and sales departments and liaise closely with all departments and Group companies.
4. Assist the Technical Coordinators in checking compliance with Clients requirements, current Building Regulations, NHBC Standards etc.
5. Assist in obtaining unconditional consents and approvals from Clients and all statutory authorities and external bodies (i.e. Environment Agency, Local Planning Authority, Building Control, Environmental Health, Highways, Sewer Agency)
6. Assist in monitoring subcontract drawing approval process
7. Coordinate the submission of Building Regulation packages and co-ordinate approvals and building control condition discharges, including agreeing requirements and making arrangements for post completion testing
8. Assist the Technical Co-ordinators in reviewing all design and technical information to ensure accuracy, detail, buildability and value ?
9. Assist Technical Co-ordinators in preparing for and attending internal, client and site meetings
10. Understand the duties of the Principal Design under CDM Regulations and assist the Technical team in fulling those duties.
11. Assist in the production of plot, project home user guides, and project Health & Safety Files
12. Uploading and ongoing management of company document management systems.
Experience
1. Previous experience in Residential Housing sector
2. Project management and supervision skills
3. Thorough, with strong attention to detail
4. Ability to confidently challenge decisions made by others
5. Quick and eager to learn, with a focus on continuous development
6. Ability to communicate well with individuals at all levels
7. Proficient in MS Office programmes
8. Analytical approach
9. Full Current UK Driving Licence
