Job summary
Were seeking a qualified financial accountant to join a Financial Accounts team.This role would suit an ambitious newly qualified ACA/ACCA (or passed finalist) looking for a unique opportunity to advance their financial accounting career.
This person will assist and lead the timely and accurate delivery of the Groups financial position with life/insurance accounting experience being desirable but not a pre-requisite. We can offer flexibility on hours, location and work patterns so get in touch and see if we can move this forward for you.
What youll be doing:

Support members of the Financial Reporting team as required.
*
Preparation of complex working papers.
*
Post financial journals as required.
*
Manage intercompany settlements.
*
Manage preparation and delivery of relevant management accounts.
*
Prepare and understand financial controls.
*
Preparation of statutory accounts.
*
Manage production of regulatory returns (where applicable).
*
Identify efficiencies in processes and assist with implementing change.
*
Support relevant consolidation journals.
*
Support ad-hoc projects and investigations as required.
Who were looking for:

Must be qualified accountant or in later stages of a professional accounting qualification.

Good process and accounting knowledge.

Strong statutory accounting knowledge.
*
Competent in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
*
Applies judgement and escalates/questions as appropriate.

Strong communication and written skills.
*
Good time management and organisational skills.
*
Leads own workload and deliverables.
*
Able to communicate accounting principles/judgements to different audiences.
