- Identify and resolve faults on mailing machines and associated equipment.
- Collaborate with production teams to optimize throughput speeds, minimise remake waste, and enhance overall production efficiency.
- Ensure daily throughput meets planned standards, adhering to company procedures and best practices.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Promptly report any Health and Safety matters to Management and adhere to SSOW.
- Comply with General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and associated policies.
- Effectively repair mechanical and electrical faults on mailing machines and associated equipment.
- Maintain, support, and service production-associated equipment, such as cutters and strapping machines.
- Liaise with Production Management Teams to address machine performance, problems, and improvements.
- Provide feedback and ideas to enhance machine operations.
- Maintain accurate administration of parts usage.
- Communicate problems and solutions clearly and promptly, both in writing and verbally.
- Be a proactive leader in continuous improvement, reporting successes and failures to stakeholders.
- Mentor machine operators to enhance their skills.
- Proactively maximise productivity and identify areas for improvement.
- Report any exposure or risk to Managers.
- Ensure a clear and precise handover to oncoming shift team members.
- Keep the workshop area clean and tidy, complying with health and safety regulations.
- Manage breaks in line with machine production, minimising unnecessary downtime.
- Undertake any reasonable responsibilities assigned by your manager.
Skills / Experience:
- Previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong diagnostics skills.
- Ability to follow electrical diagrams.
- Team player with proactive problem-solving skills.
- Ability to offer improvements to current processes.
- Board-level repair skills are preferred but not essential.
