Job summary
Fire Door Surveyor.We are looking for an experienced Fire Door Surveyor to join our team. Our business works with a diverse range of clients and with 85% of the work based in Liverpool and Manchester area and the occasional work in the North East this is a great opportunity for any ambitious, North West-based Carpenter or Passive Fire Engineer to join our business in a new role that will offer significant development.
We are looking for a Fire Door Surveyor who will likely come from a Fire Door / Passive Fire background who has:
Full UK Drivers Licence (Essential)
At least 1 years recent experience working specifically as a fire door surveyor.
A strong background in carpentry and joinery (NVQ Level 2 Carpentry or Joinery minimum.)(Essential).
Experience installing/upgrading/maintaining & repairing existing Fire doors.
FIRAS Accredited Technician or Supervisor in Timber Door Sets, Composite Door Sets & Fire Door Maintenance.
Knowledge of Fire Door standards FDIS, FIRAS, BM Trada, BS 8214, NFFC, ASDMA guidance and familiarity One Trace or equivalent like BORIS, Bolster etc. (However training can be given).
Experience of completing destruction tests for compliance recording.
FDIS diploma (Desirable, but not essential).
Knowledge of Fire Rated Drywall, Shaft Walls, Compartmentation and Fire Stopping seals and penetrations (Desirable but not essential).This opportunity will offer further opportunity to further professional training, certification and qualifications that align with your ambition.
