Job Title: Quantity SurveyorLocation: Bromsgrove
We are a leading structural engineering company based in Bromsgrove, specializing in delivering high-quality engineering solutions to our clients. We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will work on multiple projects on a weekly basis and collaborate with another chartered Quantity Surveyor, providing comprehensive cost estimating and quantity surveying services.
Responsibilities:
- Perform cost estimating, cost planning, and budgeting for construction projects.
- Prepare and analyse tender documents, contracts, and variations.
- Conduct cost analysis and provide value engineering solutions.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure efficient cost management and project delivery.
- Prepare detailed cost reports and cost forecasts.
- Review and negotiate subcontractor quotations.
- Monitor project costs in line with the established budgets.
- Assist in contract administration and settlement of final accounts.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, changes in legislation, and best practices related to cost estimating and quantity surveying.
Requirements:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
- MRICS or similar professional qualification is desirable.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
-Excellent knowledge of cost estimating, tendering, and procurement processes.
- Sound understanding of construction contracts and relevant legislation.
- Proficiency in cost management software and MS Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize workload effectively.
We offer a hybrid working approach, allowing a combination of office-based and remote work to provide a flexible and balanced working environment.
Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
