As a chartered mechanical engineer, you will be responsible for:
* Performing full lifecycle product development, from research and development to design and manufacture, through to installation and commissioning.
* Designing systems and components that meet the needs and requirements of the clients and the end-users.
* Conducting experiments methodically, analysing data and interpreting results
* Improving production processes, such as those in large oil refineries, or services within buildings.
* Implementing cost-effective equipment modifications to help improve safety and reliability.
* Collaborating with other engineers, project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of the projects.
* Preparing reports, presentations, and technical documentation.
* Keeping up to date with the latest developments and innovations in the field of mechanical engineering.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
* A bachelors degree or higher in mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
* A professional engineering license or chartered status from a recognised institution.
* At least five years of relevant work experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in the public sector or construction industry.
* A proven track record of delivering high-quality and cost-effective engineering solutions.
* Excellent communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
* A strong attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
* A willingness to travel and work on site as required
