This is a very special company to join to support as the Financial Controller on a 12 month maternity Cover. Our client is a small, fast-growth company that is just about to expand into the US (exciting hay!). What our client needs is a passionate Financial Controller who also has the attitude to roll your sleeves up being in a small business. That you're able to work to deadlines, priorities workloads and build great relationships. Reporting into the Finance Director, you will play a really key part in support and managing the day to day running of the business with the support of a Finance Assistant.

They aim to design products that will last, for their quality of build and for our avoidance of skittish fads.
Financial Controller Responsibilities:
Delivery and preparation of monthly management accounts and key financial reports
Understanding and completion of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Investigating and explaining variances to budget
Support with budget preparation
Owning year-end accounting processes in preparation of statutory audit
Active Involvement in audit process
Working with all departments and the management team to help make financial decisions to support the organisation
Cash management and cash analysis, presented to management on a weekly basis
Treasury management - maximising payment terms and preserving cash
Support with monthly payroll
Control of business systems, providing insight and challenge to fellow senior managers
Management of an Accounts Assistant, which includes Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) providing guidance and support
You may be required to undertake additional duties as are necessary to promote the smooth and efficient running of the business. Qualifications & Experience
Have a CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualification
Have experience using an ERP system or a financial system with WMS and eCommerce integration- BrightPearl desirable
Have experience working in a D2C/Retail environment or similar Benefits: Package and Benefits
Salary band of £65,000 - £70,000 dependant on experience
25 days holiday, plus bank holidays
3 - 4 days in the office (can be flexible)
