Are you an experienced and passionate Senior Residential Support Worker with a strong background in working with young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) or Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges? Job Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise a team of support workers, providing guidance, support, and training as required.
Ensure the effective and efficient day-to-day running of the residential home.
Develop and implement care plans and risk assessments for each young person, promoting person-centered support.
Provide one-to-one and group support to young people, assisting them in developing coping strategies and life skills.
Foster a positive and nurturing environment within the home, promoting a sense of safety, respect, and belonging.
Effectively communicate with external agencies, professionals, and the young person's family to ensure cohesive care.
Oversee and administer medication in accordance with organisational policies and procedures.
Encourage and facilitate educational engagement and participation in extracurricular activities.
Monitor and report on the progress and well-being of the young people, maintaining accurate records.
Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism, empathy, and a commitment to the welfare of the young people.
Contribute to staff meetings, reviews, and training sessions to continually improve service delivery.Qualifications and Experience:
Previous experience in a residential setting, supporting young people with EBD/SEMH needs is essential.
NVQ Level 3 in (Children and Young People) or equivalent qualification is essential
Proven experience in a senior or leadership role, capable of motivating and guiding a team.
Sound knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child protection legislation.
Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
Flexibility to work on a shift basis, including weekends and bank holidays.
