Job summary
A client within the Private Sector based in Leicestershire is currently recruiting for a Commercial to join their team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, permanent position with the ideal candidate having experience of working within the private sector within a civil engineering environment.The Role
Key purpose of the role is to be responsible for the management of the commercial team including Quantity Surveyors at all levels. You will also oversee the delivery of all projects will maximize commercial performance and provide commercial and contractual guidance to the estimating team.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Maximize profit on all contracts whilst minimizing commercial risk to the business.
Maintain key client contacts &relationships.
Maintain key sub-contractor & supply chain contact & relationships.
Oversee and implement role specific goals and objectives for the commercial team.
People management and development, regularly appraise and agree SMART objectives for reportees.
Ensure all departmental procedures are managed in line with company policies.
The Candidate
To be considered for this role you will require a HND, HNC or Degree in a relevant construction related discipline as well as having a valid driver's licence and ability to drive.
The below skills would be essential for the role:
Member of a recognised professional organisation related to Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering
CSCS card holder
Managerial Experience - proven management experience in a commercial position in the Civil Engineering Contracting industry; Minimum 7 years
Commercial and Contractual awareness, with a proven track record of success
The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £70,000 - £90,000 per annum DOE.
