Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team. As an Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in assessing project requirements, preparing accurate cost estimates, and contributing to the successful delivery of projects in the power generation and petrochemical sectors.
Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project specifications and requirements.
* Analyse project drawings, specifications, and other documents to prepare detailed cost estimates.
* Utilize industry knowledge to identify cost-saving opportunities and propose value engineering solutions.
* Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to gather pricing information and negotiate favourable terms.
* Maintain a comprehensive database of material costs, labour rates, and other relevant data.
* Prepare and present detailed cost estimates to internal teams and clients.
* Monitor and track project costs throughout the lifecycle of the project.
* Participate in bid clarification meetings and address inquiries from clients and internal teams.
Qualifications:
* Bachelors degree in engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
* Proven experience as an Estimator in the engineering construction industry, with a focus on power generation and petrochemical projects.
* Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and processes.
* Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
* Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
* Effective communication and negotiation skills.
* Familiarity with relevant estimating software and tools.
