Job summary
Our client, a specialist main contractor in the Industrial, Retail and Commercial new build sector, are looking to engage with an experienced Project Manager to manage projects from North London to Milton Keynes/ Northampton, valuing up to £30m.Duties & Responsibilities:
Working closely with the Construction Director to plan the project effectively, by ensuring that the project requirements, specification, design drawings and HSEQ procedures are understood and agreed and that the programme is in place.
Understanding the clients needs from the outset, what is important to them and manage their expectation throughout the project
Responsible for the programming and monitoring of works (Using ASTA)
Ensuring that good sound construction procedures are being used on site.
Ensuring the procurement meets budget and programme
Responsible for the upkeep and quality of works
Planning ahead
Liaise daily with the site team regarding all planned works and issues
Always ensure safety to public, site visitors and staff on site, ensuring that preventative measure are taken.
Liaising with clients to report progress and building a good client relationship.
Liaising with the design team and issuing/ monitoring design information
Ensuring that as-built drawings, CVIs, RFIs are kept
Lead and develop the project team
Provide weekly update to the Construction Director
Requirements:
Experience managing Industrial, Retail or Commercial projects
Experience programming using ASTA
IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook etc)
Good communication skills, both oral and written
Qualifications:
HNC/ HND/ Degree/ NVQ in Construction Management (Preferred)
CSCS Card
SMSTS
Driving License
