We are seeking a Test & Acceptance Engineer to join our dynamic team at Atlas Elektronik UK. This role has become available due to our continued growth and the need for expertise in ensuring the quality and reliability of our cutting-edge products. As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Project Test & Acceptance Manager and helping us deliver innovative solutions to navies worldwide.
In this role, you will lead test phases and events for assigned projects, create and develop test plans, procedures, and schedules, and ensure that testing activities conform to external/internal requirements and safety standards. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, supporting integration and Set To Work activities, and providing testing expertise where necessary. Your analytical skills will be put to use in evaluating test evidence and interpreting test data, while your ability to write technical reports will be instrumental in documenting the testing process.
Key Qualifications and Skills:
5+ years of experience in performing test activities.
Specialization within an engineering discipline (e.g., electrical, mechanical, acoustic).
Background in engineering, marine, aerospace, rail, or nuclear disciplines (advantageous).
Knowledge of engineering lifecycles and processes (desirable).
Familiarity with environmental testing (advantageous).
Understanding of electrical and/or mechanical testing (desirable).
Preferably, knowledge of military systems, particularly maritime systems.
Proficiency in writing technical reports and extracting information from technical experts.
Membership in the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) or Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) (desirable).
Experience with Standards, particularly Military biased Def. Stan, Mil-Spec, etc. (preferable).
Experience with DOORS or DOORS NG (advantageous).
