Controls Commissioning Engineer | Gloucestershire (hybrid) | up to £60k

Talentometry have been retained by Fairfield Controls to recruit a PLC Projects Commissioning Engineer to join their team in Gloucestershire.

Experience we are looking for:
- PLC / SCADA / Motor Control / Drives knowledge
- Experience commissioning Control & Automation projects at a system integrator
- Testing and Commissioning of Control Systems to customer specification
- FAT / SAT

The role has come about as a result of business expansion and also due to current commissioning engineers moving into leadership roles managing frameworks for preventative and reactive breakdowns.

It may not surprise you to learn that the Director Group all joined either as apprentices or graduates at Fairfield Controls making business decisions that propel the organization forward in terms of capability to deliver one of the most interesting portfolio of complex Control & Automation projects on offer from any single control system integrator.

Turnkey Automation & Control Projects include: London Eye, Tower Bridge, Wimbledon Retracting Roofing, Falkirk Wheel, UK Flood Defence Systems (multiyear framework), Sole supply to Scottish Canals (multiyear framework), Advanced Manufacturing (e.g Factory of the Future for the next gen NATO fighter jets) and many more that combine different tech to push the boundaries of 4IR.

Who are Fairfield Controls?
- £8.5m turnover with offices across the UK.
- 80 specialist staff
- 60% having started with the business as either apprentices or grads.
- Average length of service at least 7 years
- 15% of staff are on long term training this is on top of to ad hoc training for things like PLC software or electrical design.
- Projects range from £2.5k to £2.5m

Package:
Earn £60k a year through the combination of:
- Salary
- Over Time (paid door to door)
- On Call Allowance

This will be working regular office hours with the vast majority of projects commissioning within the local region.
