Job summary
Are you an Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias looking to join a Global manufacturing business?Due to internal promotion we are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join the team in this heavy industrial manufacturing plant located on the outskirts of Lancaster, commutable from the M6.
Working in a fast paced environment you will be responsible for all proactive and reactive maintenance, working with a team of engineers on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, days and nights.
Duties of this Maintenance Engineer role:
To provide an electrical engineering service to the production team and achieve minimum down time
Proactive response in carrying out preventative maintenance duties
Ensuring you are commercially aware of budget and there is the right amount of spares
Look at ways you can continuously improve efficiency and down time
To encourage, motivate and inspire apprentices and trainees
Maintaining a safe working environment and highlighting any safety concerns Skills required for the Maintenance Engineer:
You must hold a recognised engineering apprentice (NVQ, BTEC or C&G)
Multi-skilled experience with an electrical bias.
Experience of Siemens S7 and ELAU controls is advantageous
Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure Benefits of an Maintenance Engineer:
Working a 4 on 4 off -days and nights shift
Basic salary £42,000 pa + paid overtime.
20 shifts holiday including bank holiday (Length of service increases)
Company pension and onsite parking
