Job summary
Title: Electrical Project ManagerSalary: Negotiable £45/55,000 DOE
Location: Stokesley (Head Office)
Our Client is one of the UKs leading suppliers and installers of Critical power and cooling as well as energy reduction solutions.
Resulting from continued growth we require a proactive Electrical Project Manager to support the implementation of Installation projects, aligned to Critical power & cooling, renewables and various other electrical installations, ensuring all aspects are delivered safely and compliantly, minimise downtime and come in on time, in budget and to the required quality standards.
The ideal candidate will be electrically minded and have an extensive knowledge of commercial/industrial electrical installations as well as on-site experience of communicating technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
The role will include a mixture of site visits and office based planning and organisaton.
Responsibilities of the role
Working closely with the operations & technical Managers & directors to fulfil the project lifecycle you will:
* Interpret project specifications
* Liaise with contractors to develop solutions,
* Read technical drawings to prepare costed proposals
* Co-ordinate equipment orders & deliveries
* Follow project plans and validating project outcomes for sign-off.
* Assist with the training of new electrical engineers
Keeping safety central, youll review Risk Assessments and Method Statements prior to work commencing and complete regular safety audits.
To ensure the smooth running of your projects, youll coordinate with relevant departments to ensure all arrangements are in place i.e. Labour, Equipment, Materials, Shutdowns, paperwork, permits etc and attend multi-functional meetings as the department representative, provide regular progress reports to key stakeholders and adhere to all required Procurement and Finance processes.
Skills and requirements
* At least 3 years experience in electrical installations
* Knowledge of UPS, Generators or renewable systems would be advantageous.
* Practical understanding of Facilities, Utilities and Electrical systems work.
* Ability to understand relevant technical specifications and drawings.
* Experience of working in an industrial and commercial environment.
* Good project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities to Meet deadlines, even in a fast-paced and changeable work environment.
* Strong communication skills (written and spoken English), able to liaise with stakeholders of all levels, and write concise reports.
* Good IT skills including Microsoft Office; experience of MS Project, AutoCAD and other project management tools would be useful.
* Works in a proactive and methodical manner with a good eye for detail knows the right questions to ask to gain clarity in sometimes unclear situations.
Requirements:
* Electrical Qualifications i.e. BS7671 regulations, NVQ, HND etc
* Design, Testing and Inspecting C&G 2394 and C&G 2396 (Advantageous)
* UK Drivers Licence
* Renewable tech knowledge and experience would be advantageous.
