Job summary
A reputable national provider currently require a Building Control Inspector to manage domestic and minor/low-rise projects local to their base; whether this is Derby, Nottingham, Sheffield, or the West Midlands. Applications welcomed from part-qualified surveyors ultimately seeking Class 2'A' status or above. Starting salary from £40,000 - £60,000, plus bonus, £350 allowance / company car, 45p per mile, 38 days'+ leave, with access to ongoing training and support from local senior surveyors.Building Control Inspector responsibilities:
Check plans for compliance with the Building Regulations and associated legislation
Issue initial notices, plan certificates, amendment notices and final certificates
Undertake inspection of works and produce reports
At completion of works ensure all relevant inspections have been performed with appropriate certification submitted, and defects/non-conformities addressed before final certification has been issued
Support the training and development of assistant surveyors
Contribute to external client meetings
Undertake peer review audits on an ad-hoc basis Building Control Inspector requirements:
Associate / Full membership preferred; RICS, CABE, CIOB
Existing Building Control Inspector experience including plan assessments
Interpersonal skills
Self-sufficient workload management
Up-to-date knowledge of Building Regulations and associated standards Benefits:
