THE BUSINESS

Our client is a family-run nationwide manufacturer who supplies to the packaging supply chain making over 300 million units annually for the food and pharmaceutical industry. They are a forward-thinking business, constantly innovating and going through a period of expansion just recently opening a new site.

THE ROLE
The business is looking for an experienced candidate that will have overall management of all warehouse functions, ensuring tasks are carried out safely and efficiently. Some of your responsibilities will include:
Supervising, training and guide existing and new warehouse employees
Control order picking, goods in, goods out operations ensuring accuracy with minimum handling and stock damage
You will ensure shipments and inventory transactions are accurate, facilitate and manage stock takes at regular intervals
Maintain storage area by organising floor space; adhering to storage design principles and recommending improvements
You will need a valid FLT Licence to do this role
You will control, manage and maintain all warehouse equipment and compliance
You will communicate and collaborate with production team leaders
THE PERSON
Its essential that you have manufacturing experience in overseeing and managing a well-performing team. It is advantageous if youve previously worked within the packaging sector. As a leader in the business flexibility is a must and you have to be open to working later/earlier hours, than those outlined above.
Having a positive can-do attitude, you will push the business forward that prides itself on being different which is their competitive advantage. You will be reporting to the Operations Director demonstrating leadership skills through a strong work ethic and mature approach. Having previous experience in the plastics industry is preferred.
