Salary £30,000-£35,000 dep on exp + bonus
Job Summary: Responsible for achieving all sales and gross profit budgets set out and agreed to at the beginning of every financial year. Manage the departments small team in order for them to achieve their targets. Collaborate with the other department managers to help both parties achieve the companys sales and gross profit targets. Identify objectives, strategies and action plans to improve short and long term sales. Establish, maintain and expand the customer base.
Key tasks:
* Driving and managing your team to achieve the departments sales and gross profit targets.
* Working with operations to ensure high levels of customer service
* Hold weekly team meetings to discuss figures and produce action plans to achieve your monthly GP targets
* Provide fast turnaround of quotations for the reps and all customers
* To focus your team on high margin/high revenue items to maintain high GP
* To improve the stock profile and stock turn of all items
* Monthly sales promotions
* Working directly with the reps to achieve a mutual objectives
* Staff training on new products
* Continual competitor analysis
* Controlling stock orders in line with customer demand
* To manually guage stock turn (until IT system reports)
* On going training on products
* Daily operation of the department
* Responsible for all stock and price lists
* Responsible for the operations and the employees who work in your department
* Maintaining high levels of customer service
* Cover or arrange cover within your department in relation to sickness and holidays
* Salary: Dependent on experience - £30-35K plus bonuses
* Hours : Either 7.30am-4.30pm M-F or 7.30am-5pm & 1 in 3 Saturdays TBC
* Holiday 20 days plus bank holidays and Christmas period TBC
