Job Description
The purpose of a Team Leader is Assist Shift Manager in the management of teams in order to motivate teams, ensure all aspects of Health & Safety are monitored, all Company policies and procedures are enforced and adhered to and that all product is picked and dispatched to the highest standard in line with or exceeding KPIs.
Key Duties of a Team Leader:
Assist Shift Manager in the management of teams in order to motivate teams, ensure all aspects of Health & Safety are monitored, all Company policies and procedures are enforced and adhered to and that all product is picked and dispatched to the highest standard in line with or exceeding KPIs.
Manage and motivate the shift team ensuring that productivity and service KPIs are achieved or exceeded
Ensure the highest possible levels of Health, Safety and Hygiene are upheld so that legislative and quality requirements can be complied with, ensure relevant paperwork is completed and retained
Deliver communication briefings so that all shift are aware of all Company and local issues and employees are able to offer input/improvements and feel involved
Manage Goods Inwards area to ensure that receipts are made quickly and without damaging goods so that stock is available to satisfy orders
Qualifications
Computer literate with knowledge of Excel
Confident at dealing with people at all level
Adaptable and methodical approach to work/ training/ working hours
Conscientious and reliable
Excellent communication skills in order to deliver accurate information
Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure
Effectively prioritise work load in order to meet set deadlines
Ability to work as part of a team or individually
Professional, approachable and helpful to ensure smooth running of the general operation
Proactive approach and able to make decisions
