Job summary
The Team & Focus of the RoleAt Fisher German our customers and clients are at the heart of what we do. We have long standing relationships with many of our clients through the generations (some up to 80+ years). This is due to the trust they have in us to deliver what we say we will on time. We are a multi-disciplinary surveying consultancy with a history to be proud of.
Due to growth, were now looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to join the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Team based in our Head Office, working within our hybrid working policy. This role will suit you if you have some experience within a finance/accounting department, are a strong team player and you are driven by a high attention to detail. The core purpose of this role is to provide management accounting support to colleagues within Fisher German however some wider project work will also be involved to help drive the function forward and to improve processes across the business from a finance capacity.
The role will be based from our Ashby de la Zouch office, it will be full time (Monday Friday, 9am 5.30pm) however we can be flexible on start/finish times as long as our core hours of 10am 4pm are covered.
Duties will include:
* Direct involvement in monthly management reporting for the firm
* Direct responsibility for managing and improvements in the quality of processes and data in our ERP system
* Assisting in production of the monthly forecast
* Assisting in production of the annual budget
* Assisting the FP&A team as required with various projects, for example implementation of the finance dashboards in PowerBI and financial planning software
* Ad hoc reports and tasks as required
The successful candidate will have...
* Previous experience in the management accounting type role is desired
* Previous experience in managing large data sets and the quality of data in the ERP system
* Exceptionally high attention to detail
* Experience with PowerBI is desirable (but not essential)
* Be a strong team player with the ability to work to your own initiative
* Excellent communication skills at a variety of levels
* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, specifically pivot tables, formulas, V- and H- lookups, IF statements
* Confidence with a friendly personality
* Studying for a professional accounting qualification (desirable)
