Job summary
We are looking for an experienced engineer who will thrive in this fast paced and challenging role. Applicants will have Mechanical engineering qualifications to at least HNC level with experience using a 3D-CAD package, preferably Solidworks.The successful applicant will be strong minded, self-motivated and keen to become an integral part of our small engineering team.
The role includes:
* Creating innovative designs from initial proposal through to start of production, including the production of detailed machining and assembly drawings.
* Communicating with customers, suppliers and internal departments alike throughout the design process.
* Generating new part numbers and BOMs within the system.
* Maintaining existing drawings and designs in line with our ISO9001 document control.
* Working with our production department to introduce new designs, and production engineering existing products including the design of jigs, fixtures and assembly aids.
The Design engineer role relies heavily on product knowledge and as such the successful candidate would receive all the support and training required to enable them to succeed.
