Our client specialises in the global design and manufacture of World leading custom Microwave filters and filter based sub-systems that connect and protect people in defence, communications, aerospace, GPS, ATE and space.
our newly created Sales And Purchasing Administrative Assistant position, should be your next career move. Working across both departments, you'll be providing a range of key duties that will ensure our global customer's needs are understood, met, and delivered and that the services, goods, and parts that create our world-leading microwave filters are ordered and available for our Engineers and Production teams to deliver. As full training will be given, you don't need to have worked in either a Sales or Purchasing environment previously or have technical knowledge of the products, but you do need to have had some administration experience as detailed below
Main Responsibilities:
Use a range of data management systems - online and spreadsheets to:
- Seek clarification of customer needs (including application, specification, and timescale,) to process customer quotes and convert to orders.
- Log enquiries into the in-house sales system.
- Maintain, update, and ensure all systems and associated documentation are accurate and kept up to date.
- Raise and place Purchase Orders in line with company requirements.
- Verify suppliers order acknowledgements relative to price, due dates and reference numbers.
- Maintain, update, and ensure the Purchasing data base and associated documentation are kept up to date.
- Obtain end use statements from customers.
- Collect and assess information including costing proposals, technical specifications, and quotes.
- Provide costing to the Sales Department as requested.
- Assist with the sourcing of new suppliers and new products. Facilitate these contracts once agreed.
- Run various daily, weekly, and monthly reports and action accordingly.
- Proactively contribute to delivering and communicating the Procurement and Sales Plans.
To be successful, you'll ideally have:
- A passion for accurate, timely administration and associated word, excel and data input skills.
- Have worked in a customer focused, goal orientated environment, ideally in engineering or manufacturing.
- Be confident to speak by phone, in person, online and in writing to internal and external customers, developing and maintaining positive working relationships.
- Have excellent personal organisation and time management skills
Days based role. Monday - Friday. 37.5 hours per week
