As a DevOps Engineer, you thrive on being the glue; working collaboratively with development and customer teams to maintain the operational integrity of mission critical services in a National Security environment.Youre a DevOps Engineer that enjoys challenges, likes to end to end ownership and a broad scope of responsibility. You wont be rolling out the same 3rd party payment applications to multiple vendors; with a tenacious and technologically curious mind youll ensure successfully delivery of software roll outs and truly understand the mission impact of your work.
Roke are a leading technology & engineering company with clients spanning National Security, Defence and Industry 4.0 through our Futures business and Intelligence as a Service. You will work alongside our customers to solve their complex and unique challenges.
As our next DevOps Engineer, youll be catching issues before your customers realise and ensuring continued operational integrity of services that are strategically important to the nation. Deployments will be to both reference and live environments, developing and deploying code through CI/CD and the triage/analysis of support tickets.
The Key Requirements...
Recent experience with C#, and familiarity with other modern software languages such as Python or Java.
Experience of Windows operating systems and Powershell
Experience of DevOps in a CI/CD environment using tools such as Jenkins, Gitlab
Exposure to Infrastructure as Code technologies (IaC) such as Ansible or Terraform

Where youll work
Alongside hybrid and flexible working options, youll find our Romsey site located within beautiful Hampshire countryside, close to the picturesque New Forest District and not far from a superb stretch of the south coast. This is no corporate concrete jungle; this is a manor house site, with ample parking an on-site gym and a driveway full of daffodils in the spring.

Clearances
Due to the nature of this role, we require you to be eligible to achieve SC and DV clearance. As a result, you should be a British Citizen and have resided in the U.K. for the last 5 years for SC and 10 years for DV.
