We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Shift Engineer with a background in heavy industrial electrical maintenance. The successful applicant should be apprentice-trained and multi-skilled. However, preference will be given to electrical-biased engineers.

Responsibilities will include:

PPM's
Fault finding and maintenance on modern processing equipment and plant.
Effecting timely and appropriate repairs and identifying solutions for long-term asset reliability.
Completion of shift reports.
Completing risk assessments and ensuring control measures are in place for internal and external projects.
Ideally, you will possess experience in all or some of the following:

Production plant control technology, including PLC and inverter-controlled systems.
Industrial 3-phase experience (installation and repair).
Electrical control systems with the ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.
Ability to repair light industrial equipment such as office lighting etc.
City and Guilds 18th Edition plus AM2.
Excellent experience in all types of goods movement including conveying systems, trommels, walking floors and mobile plant is essential.
Fabrication and MIG welding experience would be a bonus.
Hydraulics/pneumatic experience preferred.
The successful candidate will have experience of proactive and reactive maintenance with good problem-solving skills. They will be required to work on their own initiative and as part of the team with experience of working in a fast-paced challenging environment so the ability to keep calm under pressure and still produce a high standard of work is essential. You will also have a good health and safety background with experience of continuous improvement.

The shift pattern is 12 hour / 4 on 4 off continental day shift but the applicant must be prepared to be flexible dependent upon business demands.
