Job summary
IntSol Recruitment are currently looking for a Service Controller for one of our esteemed clients based in Woking.Reporting to the bus Duty Manager, the post holder will be based at depot in Horsell and will assist with the day to day operation of bus services across North West Surrey and East Berkshire, working a variety of early and late shifts covering 7 days a week.

Service Controller Responsibilities:
* To ensure a smooth morning run-out, managing vehicle movements and departures.
* To cover duties as required in the event of staff illness.
* To respond to roadside breakdowns, incidents, collisions and road closures.
* To ensure the highest possible standards of service are delivered at all times to our customers.
* To engage with and motivate drivers to achieve the required standards of performance.
* To actively communicate with drivers providing an accurate and rapid source of information and to provide feedback to the bus Duty Manager on relevant driver issues.
* To actively manage any irregularities in operation or driver performance by proactive intervention at the time of discovery.
* To ensure that all Company rules and standards and statutory regulations are observed and take immediate proactive remedial action when a breach is observed.
* To ensure that all Health and Safety procedures are followed and where dangerous activities are observed take immediate proactive remedial action when a breach is observed.
* To carry out any other duties as may be required, within the competence of the post-holder.
Service Controller Requirements:
* A valid category D driving licence.
* A valid CPC qualification
* Enthusiasm and can-do attitude to deliver and add value to our business.
* Able to communicate both in writing and verbally in a timely, factual and appropriate manner.
* IT literate and adept at using information systems.
* Excellent people management skills.
* Able to make decisions under own initiative.
* Initiative to get things done quickly and effectively.
* Smart and professional in appearance.
* Flexible and adaptable.
