Job summary
Sue Ross Recruitment are working with a well established supplier of specialist sporting/hobby equipment, in the recruitment of a Marketing & Media Manager. They distribute their well known consumer brands throughout the UK and Europe.They are recruiting a Marketing & Media Manager to oversee all related activities within the UK & Europe working with both field-based and office-based marketing/media staff with well-developed and interactive social media channels.
They require a high-calibre team player with excellent communication and people management skills to drive the company ethos and strategic message through to their B2B customers and their end users. The ideal candidate will have experience and knowledge of social media, marketing fundamentals and show an aptitude and passion for media creation in order to get the branded messages heard above others in a busy and competitive digital environment.
Essential candidate requirements:
* The ability to determine who customers are and find the most effective methods to communicate with them, harvesting consumer insight & use it to further develop our brand messages.
* Be organised and disciplined to achieve all deadlines, on time, every time.
* Be able to push the boundaries of marketing communications and media creation to stand out from the crowd.
* Be a people person and people manager capable of taking a team on a new journey.
* An understanding of social media algorithms to ensure the optimum penetration of all marketing campaigns.
* The ability to interpret social media analytics and make informed decisions on what media content really packs the biggest punch.
* The capacity to plan and manage large-scale consumer, retailer, and team events.
* The ability to utilise media and marketing core principles to drive sales and influence end-user purchasing decisions
* An understanding of angling principles and the angling industry is preferred but is not essential.
