Job summary

Health and Safety Advisor required to support a Regional Health and Safety Manager. The role comes with admission on to the Health and Safety Diploma course and development to become a Health and Safety Manager (the job you will begin by supporting).
The company, a multi-national Hard/Technical Facilities Management provide broad ranging health and safety support to hard FM contracts. Clients include large Blue Chip companies, energy companies, universities, commercial and corporate firms, the NHS, utilities providers, major retailers and more.
You will provide broad ranging health and safety support to Health and Safety Managers supporting these hard FM contracts across their client portfolio.
The role requires nationwide travel with 70-80% of client locations being within London and the South East. You will ideally live in Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire or Essex.
Your duties will include assisting in and supporting;
Monitoring and reviewing performance in the area
Carrying out inspections and audits.
Advising on all aspects of Health, Safety and Welfare across the business.
Co-ordinating the implementation of annual improvement plans.
Prepare and present reports
Develop and deliver health and safety training to any areas identified
Identifying site objectives and delivering these in conjunction with overall business planning.
Advising the management team on current and forthcoming issues across the region
The role will pay c£35k - £40k plus car/allowance, diploma training, pension, health and other benefits.
Experience
Some experience in a transferable field i.e. construction, engineering, FM, consulting and be able to show that you are committed to developing your Health and Safety career.
Qualifications
NEBOSH General certificate or equivalent as a minimum. The company will enter you onto further training, including the NEBOSH Diploma, on route to your gaining CMIOSH status
