The School and Role
This Good SEND school, based in Newcastle, supports children and young people aged 2-11 and is looking to appoint a passionate Primary SEN Teaching Assistant to work in either Key Stage 1 or 2 classes on a full-time basis. Working in this Primary SEND school as part of an established team, the desired Primary SEN Teaching Assistant will be working on a small class sized basis with pupils with SEND including Speech, Language and Communication Difficulties. This full time Primary SEN Teaching Assistant role is long term from January ongoing with the possibility of a permanent vacancy for the right person.
The school aims to meet childrens individual needs so that every child is challenged to be the best that they can be and reach their full potential whilst providing a safe, secure learning environment where children can grow into happy, healthy citizens of the future.
Requirements
The desired Primary SEN Teaching Assistant will have;
- Experience of working with primary school aged children
- Experience of working with pupils with SEND
- A passion for the progress of SEND primary school pupils
- An ability to work as part of a team
