Heritage PS Talent Solutions are excited to be recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Operative to work with our well E COMERCE warehouse in Ashby De La Zouch, Leicestershire on a full-time, permanent basis.

Main duties of the Warehouse Operative (Blue Yonder WMS):
This includes meeting specific orders in a timely manner, keeping products separated, organised, and in good rotation. It is important to monitor product quality frequently and report any problems to mitigate safety issues. Additionally, assisting with the unloading of vehicles and checking in stock is part of the process. Sorting and placing pallets, materials, or items on racks, shelves, and floor locations is also necessary.
Collecting items from throughout the warehouse and preparing warehouse orders for delivery or pickup according to a schedule is another key responsibility. Warehouse inventory controls are performed using scanners or computer systems, which involve stock counting and location checks. It is important to perform any other ad hoc duties as requested by your manager, such as supporting other contracts or hygiene duties.
Having a full understanding of warehouse management systems and procedures is crucial. Taking responsibility for a company's freight and assets by reporting any suspicious activity at work is also important. Reporting any damaged or missing goods to Warehouse Managers or Supervisors is part of maintaining a well-functioning warehouse. Keeping the warehouse environment clean and tidy, as well as maintaining equipment, is essential. Adhering to operational procedures, rules, and schedules ensures efficient operations. Lastly, assisting with warehouse inventory controls, typically using a hand-held scanner, is part of the role.
Requirements of the Warehouse Operative (Blue Yonder WMS):
When it comes to qualifications, having a Level 2 in English and Maths is required. Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial, as well as experience with scanning and e-commerce.

In terms of communication, excellent spoken and written communication skills are necessary. Building good working relationships with colleagues and customers through influence and persuasion is important. It is also essential to have a proven ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Planning and organization skills are crucial, including the ability to prioritize workloads and meet tight deadlines. Attention to detail, a friendly and helpful nature, and the ability to work on your own initiative are also important. Good organizational skills are a must.
