Job summary
Role: Senior Logistics AdministratorLocation: Canterbury
Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 per annum + Benefits
Hours: Monday to Friday 8am until 5pm
We are working with a market leader within the agricultural sector who is actively recruiting for a Senior Logistics Administrator to join their team at a time of rapid growth and expansion.
As the Senior Logistics Administrator, you will be dealing directly with customer and colleague inquiries and orders efficiently and accurately ensuring that excellent customer service is maintained. You will also be required to deputize for the Depot Supervisor in their absence.
Your Duties:
- Assisting the Depot Supervisor with the daily supervision of Depot Support Staff including Delivery Drivers and Storekeepers and assuming the responsibilities of the Depot Supervisor in their absence.
- Monitor driver hours, digi card, tachograph downloads, and overtime.
- Taking customer orders via telephone and email providing excellent customer service.
- Dealing with visitors to the depot including customers collecting products.
- Entering customer orders and returning requests into the IFS system.
- In cooperation with the Depot Supervisor organising deliveries into loads and following the process through picking to dispatching of loads.
- Checking paperwork returned from drivers and confirming delivery.
- Booking in stock received from suppliers or other depots.
- Dealing with any anomalies in deliveries or receipts.
- Working with the Depot Supervisor and Store Keeper to investigate and correct any stock differences.
- Filing completed paperwork.
- Following the company processes and procedures to make sure that transactions are processed efficiently and accurately.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience within a similar position is essential.
- The ideal candidate will have specialist and technical knowledge dealing with chemicals
- Previous supervisory experience is essential to the position.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively both internally and externally.
- Good time management skills with the ability to focus on deadlines and delegate work where necessary.
