Job summary
MAIN OBJECTIVESResponsible for the receipt and processing of incoming materials orders from intercompany colleagues and contract manufacturers, supporting the Stores team in Southwater, West Sussex facility.
This position will manage the process from end-to-end, receiving intercompany and customer (CEMs) purchase orders, loading onto ERP system, expediting the materials where necessary, picking, packing and preparation of shipping documentation ready for customer (CEM) to collect The Order Processing Clerk will report directly to the Stores Manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Receives and processes incoming orders for materials.
Verifies customer orders for correctness, checking against ERP system information, as necessary.
Check inventory records to determine availability of requested materials.
Enters sales order onto ERP system, and emails acknowledgement to customer.
Prepares shipping documentation and posts inventory transactions.
Reviews orders for completeness and forwards any inventory discrepancy information to purchasing team.
Bring ideas to management and be able to implement necessary process improvements.
Able and willing to work necessary hours to meet customer deadlines.
Develop mutually beneficial, respectful, and effective relationships with peers to ensure seamless coordination between departments.
Responsibility for adhering to the Companys ISO 9001 Quality, ISO14001 Environmental and Health and Safety management systems and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Experience in a high mix/low volume pull-based manufacturing environment.
Capability to respond quickly, decisively, assertively and professionally to changing requirements in demand.
Ability to organise, schedule, coordinate and set priorities in a manner which ensures maximum performance and goal accomplishment
