Job summary
We at Bouygues are looking for general Operative to carryout maintenance and new installs on streetlights and street furniture for our Kent team in East Kent area. This a permanent full time position working 07:30 to 17:00 Monday to Friday.Main Job Responsibilities:
To carry out instructions daily as laid down in the Task Instruction Sheets and the Companies Operations Manual.
Operate a MEWP
To set up site in accordance with Chapter 8 of NRSWA Street Works Code of Practice.
Carry out work in accordance with the regulations and to the Client specifications.
To ensure that all materials and components are transported to and from site in a safe and secure manner without damage.
To ensure that the full co-operation and best Customer Relations are maintained at all times, specifically on site.
To be flexible in their working hours and location of works and to ensure all work is completed in accordance with specification.
To fulfil Health & Safety responsibilities by adherence to the requirements of the Company's Health & Safety Policy and Health &
Safety Management Plans
To comply with the Companys Policies, Management Plans and Procedures
To undertake such other duties appropriate to the level and character of work as may reasonably be required within the
Department / Service. Significant permanent changes in duties will require agreed revisions to be made to this Job Description
Skills required for this role:
Good communication skills
Hard working and committed to role.
Ability to work on own initiative whilst maintaining a good quality output.
Be able to identify risks on site and report back to line management.
Previous experience of using PDA/Tablet PC systems
Full driving Licence (HGV class 2)
IPAF to operate van mounts
Previous experience of working within a street lighting role
