Between £38,000-£42,000 per annum DOE
Day Shift - 40 hours per week
We have a rare opportunity for a Warehouse and Yard Manager to join a well-known name in the Building Materials Industry.
This is a role where you will lead a team of 10, ensuring quality and safety are never compromised, continuously striving to improve departmental and site performance.
PLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOT A BRAND NEW, STATE OF THE ART NEW SHED IN MAGNA PARK, THIS IS A YARD BASED ROLE WORKING IN A BUSY MANUFACTURING ENVIRONMENT.
Sounds great, but what will I be doing?
Taking accountability for all warehouse operations (goods in, picking, dispatch, loading)
Working closely with the production team ensuring that storage space is maximised in line with forecasts.
Maintaining systems and ensuring inventory accuracy
Recruiting and training new starters
Prioritising and deploying labour to ensure that work is complete by required deadlines.
Conducting return to work interviews, appraisals, reviews, 1-1's, disciplinary' s, grievance meeting with the team members if/when required
Carrying out perpetual stock checks, environmental and quality checks
Introduce and manage KPI'sWhat do I need to be considered?
Essential:
You will be an experienced and confident leader not afraid to implement change
Experience of implementing performance indicators
Experienced in warehouse management covering both inbound and outbound operations
Industry experience: Manufacturing, Production, Construction or similar environment.
Not afraid to be a hands on, this is not a job where you will be sat in a warm office for 8 hours a day.
Experienced ERP and SAP userDesirable:
CILT Warehousing and IOSH qualification
