HR Officer12 months (Maternity Cover)
West Kent
£28,598 - £32,333 per annum DOE
Mon-Fri. 37 hours per week (39 weeks per year)
A great opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR professional to work within an education setting based in West Kent. This role involves supporting the HR director and ensuring the smooth running of HR processes and procedures.
The successful candidate for this role would be proactive in their thinking, have strong communication skills, and able to follow GDPR guidelines.
Duties for this role include but are not limited to:
Oversight of the recruitment and onboarding process ensuring that all new employees receive a contract, offer letter, and undergo pre-employment checks including DBS and references.
Supporting the finance department with payroll as and when required.
Monitor staff attendance, holiday requests and other absences.
Manage the HR inbox and direct queries to the relevant contact.
Advertising internal vacancies, reviewing applications and liaising with internal departments regarding applications.
Updating the central system with accurate information.
Complying with safeguarding at all times and ensuring that this is implemented throughout.
Any other ad hoc duties when required.
The successful candidate will have/be:
Previous HR experience within an education setting.
Current enhanced DBS check (Ideally on the update service).
A CIPD level 5 as a minimum.
Concrete HR knowledge to include recruitment & onboarding, ER etc, general policies and procedures etc.
Excellent attention to detail and focused.
Able to work against tight deadlines.
Able to manage own workload and make independent decisions.
Self- motivated.
