Job summary
Are you looking for a new exciting opportunity working as a Presales and Engineering IT Consultant for a Managed Service Provider based in Witney, Oxfordshire?As a Presales and Engineering IT Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in the design and deployment of IT Systems & Networking solutions for our new and existing clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Ability to gather requirements and specifications from customers and key stakeholders
To work closely with the Sales department and Service Delivery teams to gain a complete picture of the customers expectations and limitations before undertaking Presales solution building.
Present solutions in the form of sales proposals or in prescribed document formats as detailed in a tender, often with imposed word count limits.
Have the technical ability to examine existing systems or networking infrastructure to identify areas of improvement or integration with new or additional solutions
Work with the Sales department to extract and obtain requirements provided by documentation
Support the Sales department with Strategy and roadmaps for existing customers and prospective customers
Ability to deploy and support Enterprise LAN and WAN infrastructure alongside systems and software deployments.
Research and Development keep pace with the ongoing development of customer solutions portfolio and leading industry technologies.
Responsible for capturing and documenting all costs associated with an opportunity and creating a build of materials (BOM).
Working with the CTO and Head of Technical Services and other key stakeholders as part of the Presales governance process
Ensure compliance with all ISO
Key Skills/Experience:
Microsoft Cloud Technologies (Azure, M365, Intune, Endpoint, AutoPilot)
Microsoft Windows Technologies Server & Desktop
Server Virtualisation (Hyper-V, VMWare)
Storage (SAN, NAS)
Networking Fundamentals (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, routing and switching)
Aruba, Fortinet & Cisco Experience and certifications
In depth Server & Desktop hardware exposure across Tier 1 providers (HP/Dell etc.)
Ability to contribute to departmental processes
Willingness to adapt and think outside the box
Strong awareness of the consequences and implications of actions
Efficient administrative & organisational skills
Ability to work on own initiative & proactively
Ability to work effectively under pressure & to deadlines
Willingness to be flexible and work as a key member of a cohesive team
Strong verbal communication skills
Desirable:
Any or a mix of the below
Aruba Certified Professional/Expert in Mobility, Design, ClearPass, Switching and Security
(ACP-CA and/or ACP-NS ACEP/ACEX, ACSP/ACSX, ACDP/ACDX)
Fortinet NSE 4, 5, 6, or 7
CISCO CCNA/CCNP
Juniper JNCIS/JNCIP/JNCIS-MistAI
VMWARE VCP
Microsoft Azure Solutions Expert, MCSA Windows Server
ITIL Foundation v3/v4
Salary: £60,000 £65,000 + £6600 allowance or car
