We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Linux Support Analyst to join our dynamic team. As a Linux Support Analyst, you will be responsible for executing shell commands, resolving technical issues, and providing excellent support to our clients.
Responsibilities:
3rd Line Technical Support:
* Provide expert-level technical support by executing shell commands and troubleshooting Linux-based system issues.
* Work on resolving helpdesk tickets related to Linux systems promptly and effectively.
* Collaborate with the IT team to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
Shell Command Execution:
* Proficiently run shell commands to perform various system tasks and maintenance.
* Analyze and interpret command outputs to diagnose and resolve issues.
* Assist in the development and execution of automated scripts for system tasks.
Linux System Monitoring:
* Monitor system health and performance, and proactively identify and address potential issues.
* Provide insights from shell commands to optimize system operation.
Perl Scripting (Desirable):
* Utilize Perl scripting when necessary to automate tasks and enhance system functionality.
* Collaborate with developers to integrate Perl scripts into existing systems.
SQL Knowledge (Desirable):
* Assist with SQL queries for data analysis and reporting when required.
* Collaborate with the database team to optimize SQL queries and database performance.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in executing shell commands, shell scripting, and 3rd line technical support.
* Detailed knowledge of Linux-based systems.
* Working knowledge of Perl and SQL (desirable).
* Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
* Proactive and customer-focused approach to deliver top-notch technical support and meet customer expectations.
* Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, displaying a can-do attitude and a willingness to step outside of the comfort zone.
* Experience in the telecoms industry with a solid understanding of telecoms billing is advantageous
