Job summary
Sourcing Specialist* Exciting position for an experienced Sourcing Specialist to join an international engineering business.
* Regional sourcing role which will see you work with suppliers primarily based in Spain, Italy and France.
* Remote based position you can be located anywhere within the UK with some occasional European travel.
Seeking an experienced Sourcing Specialist to take ownership of supplier quality, cost, and delivery across a designated region covering Spain, Italy, France and the UK primarily. Working closely with other internal departments, you will help develop the sourcing strategy for these regions. Duties typically involve data management, problem solving, planning (monitoring supplier delivery) and Supplier Quality Management.
Salary & Package: £50,000 to £60,000 as a guide depending on experience.
This Regional Sourcing Specialist job will suit:
* An experienced Sourcing Specialist who is used to the dynamic of managing suppliers within the Spain / Italy region.
* Ideally worked within an international engineering business. You will be most sourcing engineering / metallic components for manufacturing.
* Track record of developing Suppliers and making strategic improvements to help grow the function.
* Comfortable with an element of European travel to occasionally visit Suppliers.

The Regional Sourcing Specialist job will involve:
* Achieving best returns (quality, delivery and cost savings) on spend with raw suppliers, machine and turnkey shops, and services.
* Reducing the overall cost of supply chain operation (material cost, freight, inventory investment and quality defects).
* Manage existing supplier performance and relationships and analyse, negotiate best pricing and mitigate risk.
* Develop new supply sources in line with business needs.
* Ensuring monthly Supply Chain KPIs (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost) are on track.
