Senior Mechanical Engineer

* Mechanical Engineering position within an established engineering business that work across a range of specialist projects.

* Would suit someone from a tribology background. An understanding of bearings, mechanisms, friction etc are all useful fields.

Are you a Senior Mechanical Engineer who enjoys variety, and solving engineering challenges? This is very much a practical based engineering role, finding resolutions to complex challenges. The position involves technical analysis, such as root cause / failure, and working within a laboratory environment due to the products applications.

Senior Mechanical Engineer Salary & Package:

* £40,000 to £50,000 per annum depending on experience. Possible flexibility around this for the right person.

* 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays with scope to purchase additional days.

* 8% employer pension.

* Healthcare and life insurance policies.

This Senior Mechanical Engineer job will suit:

* A Senior Mechanical Engineer who is practically minded with good communication skills.

* Hold a relevant engineering qualification. Any Aerospace experience would be useful due to the nature of the products sharing similar quality standards.

* An understanding of tribology and products such as bearings, gears, or mechanisms.

* Metallurgical laboratory experience, knowledge / experience of root cause analysis.

* Flexible approach in nature, enjoy problem solving to solve engineering challenges.

The Consultant Mechanical Engineer job will involve:

* Acting as the senior Engineer on projects relating to tribology.

* Performing mechanical failure/root cause analysis of mechanical systems.

* Problem solving to find solutions to associated engineering challenges.

* Produce written reports and be able to formally present project findings to customers.
