Job summary

CK Group are recruiting for a Laboratory Equipment Engineer - Field Based on behalf of an industry leading manufacturer of Scientific instruments. This role is permanent and is field based with focus on one main client site in Runcorn, Cheshire but will require travel to other client sites on an ad hoc basis in Newcastle, Stevenage and Cambridge.

About the role:
This role addresses clients lab requirements to help optimise their business outcomes, delivering everything from everyday instrument repair to data integrity services.

You will provide high quality specialist engineering support to a wide range of laboratory equipment within the R&D community. This will involve facilitation of repair, maintenance, calibration and certification of laboratory instrumentation.

Your responsibilities will include:

Diagnose faults on complex equipment and systems utilising the multi-disciplinary support of internal and external support to the team
Plan and carry out engineering maintenance and commissioning work associated with scientific equipment and systems
Advise on engineering and scientific aspects of proposed equipment to be purchased in order to support client processes.
Support in the preparation/design of operating procedures, SOPs, Change control and deviations, manuals and drawings.
Maintain high level of customer satisfaction while performing the above.

About you:
To be considered for the role, you will ideally have the following skills and experience:

HNC or equivalent in Electronics, Biology, Chemistry or related discipline.
Scientific and technical background or knowledge in analytical or biotechnology disciplines would be ideal, especially Liquid Chromatography (HPLC and UHPLC).
Previous experience of using or servicing Waters, Agilent or Shimadzu instruments is an advantage
Strong GxP Knowledge
Good analytical skills to solve problems autonomously.
Full UK driving license
