Job summary
Atrium Healthcare are recruiting on behalf of a client for Support Workers.The successful Support Worker will assist people who are within the autistic spectrum and enable them to maximize their potential and develop life skills across multiple activities. The Support Worker will work as part of a team to help those in your care to help them achieve their own life plans, through a person-centred approach.
The role:
Working in partnership with the team to provide a strengths-based, outcome focussed approach for all individuals.
Maintain the dignity, respect and privacy of each individual supported by assisting them with personal care, health and hygiene-related activities, which may involve sport and leisure, cultural and recreational activities including day trips, short breaks or holidays.
Assist individuals with communication support tasks, phycological monitoring, or intervention and sensory support tasks.
Ensure that the quality of support given meets the identified need m and that all relevant documentation is regularly reviewed, evaluated and amended as necessary.
Keep up-to-date and clear and accurate records and support plans/ risk assessments to reflect each individual's requirements.
Know, understand and work within Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults procedures, ensuring all concerns are acted on and dealt with according to policy and procedure
Essential:
NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or willingness to achieve.
Having the use of a car, a full UK driving license.
Salary and Hours of work:
£11.12 per hour; full time 37 hours per week.
