Health & Safety AdvisorAre you looking to join the business that is building the West Midlands section of the largest infrastructure project in Europe? Do you want to join a company that promoted over 20% of its work force in the last year? Balfour Beatty VINCI is proud to be designing and building a 90KM stretch of the West Midlands section of HS2. We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Health & Safety Advisor within the Health and Safey Team.
This role will be based on site in in Water Orton. Delta Junction will cover a 14 KM stretch within the Water Orton area. The sublot will be responsible for major structures including bridges, viaducts & embankments. This is a great environment to grow due to the complexity of the work involved.
Please note candidates will need to have a current valid right to work in the UK to be considered for this role
About the role
* Advise, guide and coach all personnel on the project with the implementation of the HSMS.
* Advise on project compliance with the HSMS and statutory provisions.
* Maintain the Health & Safety competence matrix
* Deliver the H&S induction and other H&S briefing along with the construction team
* Production, review and implementation of the CPP.
* Review of Risk Assessment and Method Statement
* Support the team in the accident/incident investigations procedure and timely communication of the findings.
* Monitoring of the project, trade contractors, designers, suppliers and assisting the Procurement Team
* Liaison with trade contractors, designers, suppliers, client, enforcement agencies and other relevant parties.
* Assist with the development, regular review and update of the HSMS.
* Contribute to the development of an Injury Free Environment.
Experience required
* Previous experience in Construction Project/Facilities Health & Safety
* NEBOSH Construction Certificate

Balfour Beatty VINCI have been awarded a 90km section of the HS2 project from Long Itchington in Warwickshire to the centre of Birmingham and on to Handsacre in Staffordshire. Overall, we will be building the following across all our sites: 42 viaducts totalling over 11km
66 overbridges
More than 35 cuttings reaching over 30km
56 culverts
66 embankments reaching over 33km
Building four motorway crossings requiring box structures
Six interfaces with the existing rail requiring both dive-under and overbridge structures
